With a legacy spanning nearly seven decades, Raleigh Enterprises has weathered the test of time as a privately held, real estate-based service company. It was founded as a general contractor and development firm in 1955 by George I. Rosenthal and his father, David. Through the decades, driven by a relentless entrepreneurial spirit, the company has developed expertise in all facets of real estate and in several operating businesses. Throughout its history, Raleigh developed, purchased, owned, and managed some twelve million square feet of diverse real estate around the globe, including office buildings, luxury hotels, commercial shopping centers, film and television studios, industrial buildings, apartments, luxury single-family estates and condominium complexes.

In addition to its core real estate holdings, the company founded, owned and operated businesses in diverse industries, including: music distribution, hospitality, insurance, professional sports, consumer food products, business records management & archives, lighting & grip rental, production support, lighting manufacturing and aviation. Raleigh Enterprises owns or manages approximately 1.6MM square feet in hospitality, light industrial, office, retail and residential development.
